February 8, 201015 yr comment_308981 Anyone know?Does Paltech replace the throttle shaft bushings, and throttle shafts when rebuilding the S.U.'s?From the web page:Rebuilding consists of New: Throttle shafts & bushings, Throttle discs, nozzels are rebuilt with new jet tubes, upgraded nozzel to float bowl fuel hoses with upgraded hose clamps, meetering needles, floats, float valves & pivot pins, air piston return springs & all seals & gaskets.Anyone know what needle seats are used? That doesn't appear to be shown on the site. Hi Randy. Those parts are jewel like the way they sparkle! Any updates? In visiting the website, I notice they are advertising a winter special on 240Z SU's for $475.00 http://www.paltech1.com/id8.html. I'm assuming this is for the carburetors and linkage only, not intake runners and the various emissions parts plating your photos show. Does that sound right to you? Thanks, Gary S. February 23, 201015 yr Author comment_310411 Hey Gary,I think thats right, the whole setup usually runs about $650 to $750.I will try and remember to take my camera Wednesday, I was at the shop all day today and forgot it. It really does make the rest look bad, I'm thinking of polishing the valve cover now.Still haven't started the car, we decided to go ahead and pull the tank off and clean it really good, boil it and reseal it. We didn't want to gum up the new carbs if there was still some bad gas or other floating around in there.Tank goes back on tomorow, hopefully by Friday we will have the first start.Les is shipping out the entire Blue interior this week, Hopefully the shop will finish late this week and I can get it home and start on the interior. Will try and post some pictures later.Hope things are going well with you.Regards,RandyPS.....The hood and right fender have to be stripped again and re-painted, for some reason they both developed a chip and it flaked off to bare metal. The PPG reps came in and spent almost 2 hours going over the rest of the car to see if there was any potential "risks" of that in other areas....they said it was limited to those two areas only. They are going to fit the bill for the repaint and finish, stated they had never seen that happen before.
