Posted February 6, 201015 yr comment_308760 All you fair weather guys - don't need to hear of your 70 degree weather . When I had a snow plow, they used to say 'plow with the storm', so last night my wife and I 'shovelled with the storm'. This morning we gave that idea up, and just cleared pathways in our driveway and outback for the dogs. With 30 inches so far, its gotten a bit much. The 4x4's get stuck as the frames hang up on the deep snow and drifts, so I'm stuck here at home. Who else is homebound? At least the electric is still on - knock on wood! BTW, here in the mid-atlantic, weathermen usually talk about snow in inches. Yesterdays forecast they were saying we'd get 1-2 ft. Local news has been running allday, pre-empting everything else. February 6, 201015 yr comment_308763 Snowed in here too!! Snow plowed for hours and now the can is almost out of gas. Ellicott City has about 30 inches also and it is still coming down. The Zs are tucked away in the garage but the Altima won't be out till next week and the Yukon XL is almost out. Just wish it wasn't so tall as getting the snow off is a pain. Hope Tuesday Wednesday's new storm won't be as bad. I really wanted to participate in my first Track class at the VIR but they cancelled. Will have to wait a couple of months now. Heard from some dear friends in Florida and they notice my one finger is very long as it is shown for their "warm" info on their state. February 7, 201015 yr comment_308798 Yep, me too. My beater Honda Accord is my "snow" vehicle and it won't move with this much on the ground. Not used to getting more than a few inches at a time around here. February 7, 201015 yr comment_308810 Called Greyhound last night to take a bus trip from Sacramento, California to Vallejo, California and the automated operator said "due to severe weather conditions some trips have been canceled or delayed". First thing i thought was, "what is she talking about?" . Guess our heavy rain here two days ago didn't fair the rest of ya.
