November 6, 200222 yr comment_18386 Ah oh a fellow Dallasite! Best of luck on your search. By the way, I noticed a car lot on my way to work (from the train) with 2 Z's sitting out by the back of the lot. They are probably in nasty shape from being outside but who knows. Let me know if you want more info.Michael Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/3502-wanted-70-79-240z/#findComment-18386 Share on other sites

November 7, 200222 yr comment_18395 Hello there,I think that you are actually looking for a 240Z from 1969 (you would be very lucky to find one!!) to 1973There are other zeds made, but they aren't all 240Z in that date range, ie 260Z, 280Z, 280ZX, 300ZX etc.Good luck with your search Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/3502-wanted-70-79-240z/#findComment-18395 Share on other sites
November 10, 200222 yr comment_18695 Alex,I have a 71 240z that has been partial restore/mod. I have an IMSA body package on it ( flares all the way around for 10" wide front and 12" wide rear tires). The R180 has been replaced with and R200 and the 4 speed replaced with a 5 speed. The Interior has mostly been redone including door and hatch seals. The original head has been rebulit and has a mild cam in it. The engine block has not been touched. I have a 77 280z that I was going to rebuild the engine and haed to put in the 240z but lost interest and time about three years ago. They both have been in garages so the weather has not rusted them out as most you come across have done. Also have a set of triple 44mm Mikuni carbs on intake with velocity stacks and K&N filters as well, ready to go on a rebuilt z engine. If this interests you contact me and I will provide more info.Originally posted by Whitea207 Wanted 70'-79' 240Z No rust, Running=Good, if not "ok", can be restoredGet back to me, if u have pics, e-mail them to Whitea207@hotmail.comThanks-Alex Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/3502-wanted-70-79-240z/#findComment-18695 Share on other sites
