Posted March 12, 201015 yr comment_312216 I have a bad e brake cable on my 240Z. I have a new 280 cable. I need the ends to connect to the arm on the wheel cylinder. Can anyone help with part numbers and what I'm missing. I see I have to open the holes in the cable mounts, that is no problem but I need the missing parts. March 12, 201015 yr comment_312221 The parts are not missing. The later 280's (77 78?) use a slightly different system to connect the cable to the read brakes. The cable comes without the ends you find on the 240 cables, and I pretty sure there is no part you could buy separately. You will have to use the ends from your old cable. Make a slit with a dremel cutoff wheel or hacksaw, then spread the bracket to allow the old cable end to be removed, then use these on the 280 cable. You may wish to get the slit welded again to prevent an un-intentional escape....Jim Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/35025-parking-brake-cable-upgrade/#findComment-312221 Share on other sites

It fits right on, and it looks just like original.$269 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/35025-parking-brake-cable-upgrade/#findComment-312227 Share on other sites
