Bought my second 280z last fall. Its an early '77 and it needed a bunch of work. Hope to finish a mild restoration in the next month or so. Owned a 1978 back in 1980 for a couple of years till my wife informed me we needed something a little bigger (guess the kids needed a place to sit). Never had to repair much on the '78, as it was only a couple of years old. Always wanted another, so here I am. Looks like there is a wealth of great information here and some people who really know what they are talking about. I'll keep reading to get more educated.

Thank You !! Very nice car. Can't tell from the pic, did you paint it black ?? Mine was originally racing green, then someone painted it metallic orange, now I have stripped it and it will be black with some silver/blue metallic.

It's metallic purple on the front 1/3, then fades to black.
