Zedyone_kenobi Posted May 20, 2010 Share #61 Posted May 20, 2010 word of warning.. use care when taking off the stripes, they can pull off paint. I had a chip or two come off when I took mine off. Had to find some touch up paint to cover it up.
rtaylor Posted May 22, 2010 Share #62 Posted May 22, 2010 The car looks great Rich. Can't wait to see it live! My pleasure.

BTF/PTM Posted May 24, 2010 Share #64 Posted May 24, 2010 The yellow one is the most striking by far, I love it! Great work. Makes me want to tear mine apart and have it repainted an equally eye-grabbing color. Can't wait to see them all in person.

JohnnyO Posted May 25, 2010 Share #67 Posted May 25, 2010 Motorman, That 73 looks great but I am partial to the 920 Gold....
motorman7 Posted May 25, 2010 Author Share #68 Posted May 25, 2010 Thanks for the feedback everyone. Actually, the '71 is the yellow one and the '73 is the silver. Give me a year and the silver '73 will look every bit as nice as the '71. We'll start that project in a couple months here and keep that one original. JohnnyO Posted May 25, 2010 Share #69 Posted May 25, 2010 Now you just need a 69 and 72 to have a complete set!
motorman7 Posted May 14, 2011 Author Share #70 Posted May 14, 2011 Got the Recarro's in my Yellow Z re-upholstered by a friend for fairly cheap, $200 each. The original cloth was pretty bad and lots of foam showing so had to do something. Matches the paint nicely. My son says I need to upgrade the sound system next. Will have to look into that eventually. Anyway, here are the seats (not screwed in yet, just shown in place). Rich
Bonzi Lon Posted May 14, 2011 Share #71 Posted May 14, 2011 Very nice. Deal of the Day. Thats what I paid for my seats 30 years ago! Looks like this one should be called 'Bumble Z'. Bonzi Lon
