Posted March 27, 201015 yr comment_313862 I have seen many cars with "SPORT MIRRORS" that have little sharper shape than original mirrors on 280Z cars. Here I have few pictures from listing on Ebay. Parts # is accessary #, and they look just like Mustang II manual mirrors in late 70's. If so, did Nissan use mirrors from Ford Mustang? March 28, 201015 yr comment_314021 Does the mirror housing move, or the mirror? I'm constantly re-adjusting the mirrors when people bump it or after the cover comes off.thxZ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/35218-are-sport-mirrors-from-old-mustang-ii/#findComment-314021 Share on other sites
March 28, 201015 yr comment_314023 If you've got the plastic mirrors that adjust by moving the housing, then you don't have the ones that esprist is referring to. Just the cheap aftermarket/dealer installed ones that were put on so many 280Zs (and other cars) 'back in the day'. My car had them. Furthemore, I doubt that would be any connection between the 'real' Datsun sport mirrors and ones used on the Mustang II. The designs are'nt really that close especially when you consider the cable adjustment on the Ford mirror. March 28, 201015 yr comment_314076 Here is a picture of the ones I had the dealer install on my car back in 1976. They are made out of a pot metal of some sort and were originally painted black. Both the housing and mirror moves. They are same ones that the Black Pearls had on them.http://photographictrends.com/zcar/closeup/07.07.07 - 008.htm Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/35218-are-sport-mirrors-from-old-mustang-ii/#findComment-314076 Share on other sites
