Posted March 31, 201015 yr comment_314381 With a large investment, I just ordered US Tail lamps. It will come in July or August this summer. These will be limited production as it takes a large $ to order so many. Quality is already proven with European tail lamps. All hand assembled in Japan. Price will be around $495 a set, about 1/2 price of European Tail lamps. It will be available from MSA. By the way, in case you did not know, these reproduction Euro tail lamps will be out very soon. No plans for another lot for now. March 31, 201015 yr Author comment_314419 I love what you're coming up with. I just wish I could afford the prices.Well, many large venders are hurting for $ in this economy, and cannot afford investing $ to buy quantities. So that is a big cost factors. We are not a big supplier to order 10000 of them.:disappoinBut remember last few years when these tail lamps were still available back in mid 90's, there were $250 per a side, and that was over 15 years ago. Also replacement lenses that were made in New Zealand used to cost 285-$350 for just the lenses.(No chrome molding or backing with reflectors)And those are not available either anymore. And these sets I ordered will be also limited supply due to a large investment. The cost will include exclusiveship, modyfication of the mold, assembling, boxing them, shipping them, exchange rate, interest, and storage....... Inspecting the units when they arrive here.....It is a lots of work!!!!!! For all that, price should be $899 like the European tail lamps, but we managed to get this better pricing for many Z owners. So I hope you understand............... March 31, 201015 yr comment_314424 Please do not take my comment as criticism of your prices. It's more of a lament of my lack of money to buy nice reproductions. I want to support your efforts. Meanwhile, I'll keep playing the lottery. March 31, 201015 yr comment_314433 Kobo-The other items I have purchased from you have been dead on perfect (is that your e-brake cable on MSA now?) - I am sure the brake lens assembly are up to your high standards as well - thanks for getting these in the market for us!! Is there a way that we can buy direct from you and save a little on the MSA margin - I know MSA offers our membership a discount but if we could get you started with a solid order from the membeship here it may help with the initial cash outlay that you had to do - let us know - I'm in!
