Posted April 3, 201014 yr comment_314737 It seems to me like there is way too much force required to push up my carb plungers. How hard should it be to push? On my motorcycle its way easier to push up.My car has initially good power when the throttle is cracked by then doesn't want to go, like the throttle isn't open. I think it might be the plungers going up and letting enough air in. April 3, 201014 yr comment_314742 Any idea what's in the tubes for oil?Saying they move too hard equates to guys who say "my car runs too warm".... April 3, 201014 yr Author comment_314799 ATF fluid in both. Although one is easier to push than the other. I think they might be binding/sticking due to dirt. I tried putting in a few more CC's of 10-30 (datsun manual) in the rear carb but it's still easier to push up than the front. I don't have any way to measure effort, but i'd say it like lifting a 10lb dumbell with one finger at the front and less at the rear.I'll be ordering that Just SU's DVD real soon Bruce! April 3, 201014 yr comment_314810 There are a lot of SU function issues that can be corrected by descuzifying. That means going thru them and chasing all the scuzzies away. Dirt, grime, old varnishy gas can all contribute to a 10 lb. finger lift.......
