April 6, 201014 yr comment_315147 I've been licensed since 1990.1978 Buick LeSabre (4 door, hand-me-down to my sister and me, then solely to my sister once I got... )1988 Honda CRX HF (40 mpg before it was cool. Didn't last long-got hit by a train.)1975 Fiat Spider 124 (not that fast-topped out at 98, but it was quick-given away when I needed a larger car to move cross country)1983 Buick LeSabre (2 door. Knowing the beating we gave the other one, I knew this one would last a long time... and it did...until the transmission gave up. Gave it away when I got...)*got married, the asterisk denotes shared vehicles** 1988 Jeep Cherokee (Sold cheap to make room for the next asterisk)1992 Honda Accord (4 door, five speed. Even though I knew Hondas to be safe, I kept this one away from trains.)* 1998 BMW M Roadster (Now totaled. Thanks ex-wife)2002 Mitsubishi Montero Limited (not the effin Sport. Traded even up for the one after next)1979 Datsun 280zx (traded the beloved Accord on it... still sad about it, but they wouldn't take the Montero and give me money back... )2001 Infiniti i30 (daily driver, much to the chagrin of the Z... ) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/35359-cars-youve-owned/?&page=2#findComment-315147 Share on other sites
April 7, 201014 yr comment_315195 Seems to me that we had this conversation a couple of years ago...I have owned 26 cars over the years. Nine of them were daily drivers.13 G.M., 6 Fords (2 were Mustangs), 2 Dodges, 2 V.W.s (NEVER AGAIN!) 1 Volvo, 1 Suzuki, and 1 240Z.The only five that were in any way special were:1967 Mustang (Wife's first car)1974 Volvo 164e (Stodgy styling but a really fun car.)1982 Dodge Charger 2.2 (I plead the fifth officer!)2008 Mustang GT (Wife's current car, notice a pattern here?)1971 Datsun 240Z Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/35359-cars-youve-owned/?&page=2#findComment-315195 Share on other sites
April 7, 201014 yr comment_315200 My buddy and I always had the rule that to put a car on your list, you must have the title and must have driven it at least once around the block. This eliminates counting parent owned cars we drove in high school and pure parts cars. You wouldn't believe some of the creative things we did to drive cars that had no business being on public roads Since 1982: 1981 Toyota 4x2 PU 1972 240Z 1976 280Z 1976 280Z 1990 Toyota 4Runner 1984 Supra 1984 Toyota 4x4 1979 Subaru BRAT 1981 BMW 320i s 1987 CRX si 1978 280Z 1977 280Z 1991 Toyota 4x4 1990 Toyota 4x4 1975 280Z 1994 Sentra SE-R 1972 240Z 1973 240Z 1987 Civic si 1989 240SX 1998 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 1987 300ZX 1989 Toyota 4x4 1998 Toyota 4Runner 1974 260Z I've likely missed a few, but as you can see, I pick cars I like and keep buying them over and over.
