November 10, 200222 yr Author comment_18722 I brought my new 72 240Z home today:love: The engine is running pretty strong, clutch is tight and the brakes are good. I'm going to have to drop the gas tank and have her cleaned out, po said that he has been changing the filter more often than should be done. U joints need some work, as well as a little body work (not as bad as one would think) a fresh paint (oxidized orange just isn't what I want) and some refreshing done to the interior. Overall I'm happy about the condition! My wife even took her for a spin and she now understands my obsession, I might have to hide the keys:cheeky: I'll post some pics to the gallery by next weekend.Dwight'72 240z as a sometimes daily driver that will slowly get "refreshed" Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/3536-wo-hoo-im-gonna-need-to-change-my-screen-name/?&page=2#findComment-18722 Share on other sites
November 10, 200222 yr comment_18725 Dwight,You've discovered what I learrned a long time ago. If you want to keep the Z, have your wife drive it once and she'll fall in love with it as well! I've managed to have a Z (two actually) since 1980 while having two kids, and my wife and I are both looking forward to getting our current one cherried out. It also helps to have a second "family" car that's reliable.Congradulations on both counts!RobP.S. Can we post photos of Z kids?
