Cleaning Oxidized Bumpers

I'm amazed. While working on my 71 project the ebumpers have been hanging in a guys garage rafters for the past 30 years. They were very rough to the touch and oxidized.

I took them to the kitchen sink (yes amazingly with my wifes approval) and used a brass bristeled brush, and cold tap water. The bumpers are smooth and shine now.

Another evening with a buffer and some chrome polish just to see if I can get some more shine from them.

Another task down on the road to go for a long drive in the country..
