Finally going HOME ! !

I've been gone for 4 and a half months now!

Getting a grayhound from San Bernardino today to

Yuba City.

My hard copy license has came home and my

temp expires on the 30th this month.

This will give me time to look for a local job in Sacramento, CA

or somewhere close near by at least.

If any fellow truckers out there know of any openings for drivers

please let me know ^_^

So get this, I met a pretty thing in Van Horn, Texas on

the I 10 2 weeks back !

Shes a Half Cuban Half Mexican 19 year old and we've been

talking on the phone everyday since.

She's always asking when I'm gonna come back and

I keep sayin hopefully next week.

We were running the I10 / I40 route from Cali to Florida and

the southern states for 5 weeks but after I met her we were

mostly east coast to wisconnsin type runs, go figure right?

So I got tired of waiting for a route and wrote my DM

(disopatch manager),

"heh we're arriving a day early in Wisconsin and the

reciver won't take it till tomorrow morning, anyway we can

get rid of this load and get a new load assiginment.

And as a side joke can you possible route us trough Texas on

the I10 around mile marker 140 in the next week or too?

Theres a pretty gal there who likes to see me again! LOL ^_^"

He writes back "LoL MM 140 it is!"

Then we started chating her up ^_^ , my DM's cool

So anyway we were in Arkansas 3 days ago and we got a

load assignment to pick up in Arkansas, same city we was in,

and head to Cali with a extra days worth of time to get there.

The route instructions said to take Interstate 40 (I40) but we

were going to just go down and take I10 so I can go see my baby ^_^.

I was planning on spending at least half a day, know what I mean ;)

Well so I got all excited and texted her that I was coming and

that we would be there at 5 or 6 in the morning and asked if

thats was too early for her.

She said all happily, " No I'll be up!".

Soon as I got that from her we got a measage on the trucks

computer saying that we had to make it to Cali as fast as

possible now, which meant we couldn't hit the I10 :(

Long story short I had to let her down but she was

"understanding" in my words to sum it up.

Yeah but we all know she really wasn't all thouhg she said was,

but what can we can as guys do? :ermm:

Then we got to New Mexico (past Texas now) and another

truck measage said I had to get off the truck and go home and

get my license.

Basically take my home time for a week or 2, to sum that

up they throwing me off the truck once i got to Cali LOL!

So as soon as we got that measage we got a 2nd one for

another load assignment to pick up in L.A. with a TBA destination.

Last time we picked up in L.A. we went to Orlando Florida, on the I10 !

So you all already the know, what ever can happen will happen.

Knowing that I wrote ol' gal telling her that they were

trowing me off the truck and get this, the next trip it was

taking after I got off was right through Van Horn.

She said, "NO WAY!"

I get to Cali, my co driver gets to LA and picks up the

next load and guess what, sure nuff the destination is Orlando,

right through Van Horn! LOLx2 + :(

We'll bright side is we're still talking and I'm going home for

a change.

But I think I might make Van Horn my new place ;)

we'll c
