There used to be an informal car meet each Sunday morning at Valley Circle just off the 101. The property owner disbanded it (now the local merchants are closing-big surprise). This venue was replaced by one at Erwin and Topanga. I haven't been there yet but am definitely willing to go. There are all types of cars there, and as per the last place, more show up on the last Sunday of the month. Personally I'd rather go when its bit less crowded so the 16th would work for me.

I'm in for May 16th. How about at the Ventura Harbor area? I'm checking it out to see exactly where would be a good place to meet up. Are you guys OK with Ventura?

Hey, I just checked and the Strawberry Festival is on May 15 and 16. That means the freeway is going to be a nightmare from LA to Oxnard. How about the weekend after that, which would be on May 23rd?

See, this is how it happens. One weekend its strawberries, the next soccer, then a teaparty ralley, next thing you know its summer and too hot to drive.

We should make it like an "every third friday of the month" thing or whatever every month and just see who shows up. It might build up steam that way. (And maybe bring it a little closer to LA for those of us who live in SG Valley) just kidding.

This is why I wanted to try a couple weekends in a row (before it's too hot), let's see if the majority of people come from SFV/LA, or Ventura, from that we can see what makes an appropriate meeting place... from there, we can come up with a schedule.

A bunch of postings won't really get us anywhere, lets just go for it a couple times and see what happens.

I say these are the dates and locations. Time? 9am? (still cool outside)... Everyone needs to show up that has an interest, or it's not going to survive past 2 weeks.

I'll try to make it next week. You know what the good thing about Ventura is? It doesn't get hot there! I was thinking about 11am at the Ventura Harbor on the 23rd, there shouldn't be a problem with parking then. I'll give directions (and more details when I figure it out). I'm looking forward to seeing you guys and your Z's.

11am on the 23 would be great. i lived in the Silver Strand at one time, and your right, it's much cooler there then in the SFV.
