April 25, 201014 yr comment_317155 Vice Grips make a small pair of pliers that have a "pincher" end. This pair also has a triangular shaped notch further into the jaws. The purpose of this triangle is to grab nuts without gauling them. I have used these numerous times on my brake fittings with no damage.I wish I knew how to explain these pliers better, but when you see them at the hardware store you'll know them. Mine have "7LW" stamped on them. I'm not sure if this is a model number or just a casting number. They are definitely worth having. April 25, 201014 yr comment_317173 Had the same problem when i replaced the hose's on my '77 280z, i tried all of the sugestions but had to use a wrench on the hose nut and vice grip on steel line. P.S. your hose still looks ok, look at mine :classic: Edited April 25, 201014 yr by kjphilippona Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/35600-old-rubber-brake-line-wont-come-off/?&page=2#findComment-317173 Share on other sites
