June 10, 201014 yr comment_322229 I suspect it will run, just not sure that single carb is enough to allow it to run well.... Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/35653-intake-manf/?&page=2#findComment-322229 Share on other sites
June 11, 201014 yr comment_322230 I'm recalling way back they ran a single barrel carb on the old stovebolt 6 cyl Chevy motors and they ran...... They didn't do anything particularly exciting performance wise but they ran. Seems like cylinders 1&6 were lean most of the time. Oh well, that's why they have multiple starting gates at the horse races...... so all the horses can run. June 11, 201014 yr comment_322303 I have a stovebolt in my '54 pickup with one single barrel carb. This motor will probably rev all the way up to 2,800 rpm-definitely not a performance setup. Judging by the plugs I'd guess that 1&6 definitley run hotter. It does seem like a long distance for the fuel to travel to get to the ends. June 11, 201014 yr comment_322317 It might actually run okay. They used that manifold on some of the non US Datsun/Nissan sedans with L engines. And a 38 Weber is probably bigger than the carb they used. July 3, 201014 yr comment_324342 That is one of the most restrictive(PG description)manifolds i've seen in a long time. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/35653-intake-manf/?&page=2#findComment-324342 Share on other sites
