Gas tank restoration

...I have to agree that shipping and "Empty" gas tank is VERRRRY close to shipping a bomb.

I won't even try to argue with you on that. When I was in the military, I was an explosives expert and got to "play" with lots of stuff LOLLOLLOL . My spare tank has been void of fuel for quite some time (not even any vapours) so shipping it won't be a problem.

Exhaust vapor coming in forces out Oxigen and gasoline vapors!

Sealing up all but the vent line after tossing in a block of dry ice will do the same thing only better, co2 is heavier than air especially when cold!

Almost-the blow dryer is forcing ambient air into the tank, the exhaust is forcing a much lower concentration of oxigen and a much higher concentration of carbon monoxide into the tank because the air from the engine has used some of it oxigen to burn gasoline leaving inflamable(given the engine was properly tuned) fumes.
