Posted May 1, 201014 yr comment_317824 04-30-2010 09:57 AMDon’t you hate it when you get all dressed up for a party and then someone else shows up wearing the exact same livery? A*couple of weeks ago*Mazda revealed a tribute to the*famous Datsun race cars of Peter Brock and John Morton, right down to the number 46.Well, Nissan wasn’t about to let a rival [...]More... May 1, 201014 yr comment_317830 Sorry, I'm not loving it. The stripes are all wrong. If you're going to do a replica livery, do it right! I like our Rustoleum roller job better. The 370Z would have looked awesome had they just followed the original theme. :disappoin Insert shameless plug here... May 1, 201014 yr comment_317832 I like the 370 in BRE attire. I agree the stripes need to be straightened up a tad, as compared to the original, but putting comparisons aside, it is SEXY. May 1, 201014 yr comment_317852 The stripes are too wide, and the number 4 on the Nissan doesn't match the 6. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/35715-bre-nissan-370z-revealed-at-the-mitty/#findComment-317852 Share on other sites
May 1, 201014 yr comment_317853 The stripes are too wide, and the number 4 on the Nissan doesn't match the 6. To me, the 4 looks like a closer match to the original (though not exact) than does the number 6, which looks too narrow. Just sayin' Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/35715-bre-nissan-370z-revealed-at-the-mitty/#findComment-317853 Share on other sites
May 1, 201014 yr comment_317857 I'm lov'n it! Can't wait to see it in Nashville. So pissed I'm not in Atlanta right now. Don't forget, you guys, that the same guy did both paint schemes. He got it exactly the way he wanted it, no? May 1, 201014 yr comment_317865 I sorta like the stripes on the 370 - the angle seems to match the angle on the "A" pillar. I don't think they were going for an identical look to the original BRE car...but a modern interpretation that matches the lines of the 370.Hate the wheels on the 370 though... May 2, 201014 yr comment_317925 I have no complaints having seen it in person. It's great seeing all of the BRE tribute cars, past & present.
