June 7, 201014 yr Author comment_321826 Yes, the '70-72 brackets go straight in and don't even come close in that area.I suspected as much. No big deal. I contacted Les at Classic Datsun to give him the scoop. I will send him photos and such so that he can guide later 73 owners. June 8, 201014 yr comment_321853 Other than that minor fitment issue with the valance, it looks like its going to be alright and looks right at home on the car. I need to order one. The new paint looks great Steve! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/35735-painting-it-901/?&page=4#findComment-321853 Share on other sites
June 8, 201014 yr Author comment_321864 Well she's home and I spent the evening putting her back together. It's going to take me the best part of the week to finish up but so far I'm happy with the way it's turning out. June 8, 201014 yr comment_321892 Call me jealous.. that is awesome! Man, I certainly hope you let me see that beauty in person, so I can see how much work my paint needs! Perhaps you can recommend a paint shop to me! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/35735-painting-it-901/?&page=4#findComment-321892 Share on other sites
June 22, 201014 yr Author comment_323248 95% finished putting things back together after getting it back from paint. The front lip from Classic Datsun turned out great. I had to make a couple of small cuts with a dremel to fit it around the 1973 bumper mounts but no biggy. You can't see it unless you are looking for it. Over all I am very happy with the way the entire car turned out.
