I do not believe this car is in such good condition.

Few pictures already tells me that there was a one day paint job on driver's side. All the hardware on driver's door have poor overspay from Body shop.

And I know the inner door panel is not reinstalled right........ After market muffer..........after market carpet, worn steering wheel, worn driver's seat, 1/2 dash cap on original 63K car?

Any more pictures? I will be able to spot many other signs........

This car is a quick turn-it has NOT spent most of its life in a garage with a cover-63K, Esprist's observations and peeled chrome on the DS door panel and the Dash 1/2 cap clinches it-no need for a continuously garaged and collector taken care of car too have a dash cap. Car is a nice example of a car that has been daily driven at some point and cleaned up.

I would definitely want to go over it in person. too many things not up to par for a collector car-unless it was long ago. Listed at more than twice what I would value it at.

Wrong mirrors also. The real 'BPE' mirrors wouldn't pivot like that. The are other things that make the mileage claim suspect. My 78 had right at 100K miles when I sold it and didn't show some of the signs that are visible on that one.

It would be good to snag the pics to use as a reference for Black Pearl owners wishing to do a restore. I there a place to store them here, rather than my own album...

It has been on Ebay a few times but never sells it went to just over $10000 a few times but never met reserve .If memory serves correctly it was listed in Florida those times and now in New Jersey .The seller puts all of their cars in front of that door way for the pictures .The previous listings have had a ton more pictures I guess the listing fees are adding up and the seller is cutting back .

There have been several threads on the black pearl, and many of the photos and most of the info on this one actually came from Zhome.com.

A black pearl is interesting, but considering that the black pearl consisted only of a few bolt on pieces, a black Z and a stripe kit, I don't see it as more than that.

Considering that a Black pearl is a collection of parts and stickers and, as Stephen pointed out, this car has the wrong mirrors, this car could be a dressed up black Z-not all black Zs are black pearls.

I still have a set of the optional wheels, the louvers, and the mirrors that I can photograph and post pictures of. I collected those pieces from a rusted out black pearl that was too far gone to save.
