Posted May 9, 201014 yr comment_319034 These were in the back of my Z when I bought it, in basically unknown condition. I'm searching to see if I can find any information on them, but I don't recognize any of the manufacturer marks (which isn't saying much ) There is a very visible small mark saying XA494, and a second set of fainter larger marks which as best I can tell read: RSM 15 50 X14 CO ENGLAND D S Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/35839-wire-wheel-id/ Share on other sites

May 9, 201014 yr Author comment_319036 Previous owner believed them to be original to the car, but he was the third owner and since I've never seen something similar on a Z and they were made on the other side of the world, I'm sort of hesitant to believe that. Here are the wheels that are currently on the car as well, which I also haven't seen on a Z before. Not that I've seen too many. May 9, 201014 yr comment_319037 The wires are Dunlops. Same company that made the factory wires for most English car makers, such as MG, Triumph and Jaguar. Note the 'D' in the fifth picture. Also note the poorly stamped circle around the D, as well as the arrow to the right of it. May 9, 201014 yr comment_319038 The mags now on the car are Western Bullets. They originally had a shallow dome cap that covered the entire center of the wheel. Neither set are original to the car, although it is possible that the wires could have been dealer installed. The wires will require tubes... May 10, 201014 yr comment_319059 Yup, those were one of several different Western cap styles for those wheels. Very cool to see you still have a set! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/35839-wire-wheel-id/#findComment-319059 Share on other sites
