Posted May 14, 201014 yr comment_319628 After you take the door panel off, you are left with the panel fasteners still in the door. Is there a tool to remove the button-part that goes in the keyhole slots? A screwdriver breaks the buttons, so a proper tool is a better alternative than buying more fasteners.thxZ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/35898-door-panel-fastener-removal-tool/ Share on other sites

May 14, 201014 yr comment_319663 I picked up a really nice door panel tool from Autozoo for a good deal. Not as cheap as the harbor freight items, but it at least had a nice handle and long angled neck. Too bad I dont know where mine is anymore. May 14, 201014 yr comment_319698 I know this will sound bad, but a demo bar works fine if you have one laying around. It is kind of like a flat crowbar. I just used on on my door panel and if came off fine. They are $4.00 at OSH. May 14, 201014 yr comment_319712 The split opening on a panel puller helps to keep you from pulling the fasteners out of crappy panels though.
