Car Cover...

I'd like to get a car cover I could use while trailering the Z without damaging the paint.

Anyone have any experience in doing this, or should I not use a cover while towing?

Big mistake! It'll fly off or stretch into a hot air balloon. I've never done it personally, but seen the aftermath of friends doing it.

Yea, it's real difficult to tow a car with a cover on. The cover flapping against the paint will damage the paint.

Good advice, Chris, that's the same answer I would have given. The best

solutions I can offer comprise any one or any combination of the following:

(1) A nice tight fitting "Z Bra"

(2) An air dam/stone guard option affixed to the front edge of the trailer

(3) A pickup-type cross-bed tool box mounted across the trailer tongue

(4) A full width sweep across the bottom rear of the towing vehicle

(5) Longer-than-usual mud flaps behind the rear tires of the tow vehicle

Now you will think I am a liberal politician since I am very good at spending

(6) An enclosed trailer

The only other thing would be a nose cone to cover the leading end of the car on the trailer. Just make sure it is sturdy and securely bolted to the trailer.

I am driving my Z32 convertible to Nashville, and will either put on the paint protection film, a bra, or both...

I don't care for a bra either, but will find one before the trip to Branson and Nashville. Bug juice is hard to remove once dried, a screen will go in front of the radiator also. Both will be removed before judging.

Yup, we are thinking alike. In item #2 that which I referred to as an air

dam or stone guard, you called a nose cone. We had the same idea in mind,

but I like your term better-- it describes the location and function better

than I did. Thanks for bailing me out.
