Posted May 18, 201014 yr comment_320144 I want to fit a 240 grille onto my 280. Would the bracketry be the same or would it be a custom job? I know that the turn signals would have to be accommodated for. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/35940-240-grille-ona-280/ Share on other sites
May 19, 201014 yr comment_320207 It will take some modification as the 240 & 280 grilles are different in width, and the mounting points are different. Even the 75-76 and the 77-78 280 grilles are a little different. May 19, 201014 yr comment_320219 Screw it!! Make your own!!! Sorry, got excited. Won't happen again..... Yah right. Seriously though. Gonna take a little retro fitting but you can make the grill fit. Little cutting and bending and you're good to go. But should you decide to build your own. Have a blast. I got hit by a kid in a Mazda B2000 and he took out the Hood and the grill. I decided to make my own Full Length Aluminum slat grill. You can do chrome tubing, slats, thin metal sheets or what-ever. Have fun, Dave Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/35940-240-grille-ona-280/#findComment-320219 Share on other sites
