Posted May 25, 201014 yr comment_320774 I have a 71 240z and I'm about to install pacesetter ceramic coated headers. Now I'm searching for a nice exhaust and muffler set up. I'd love a twin tip muffler with a European sound. Can anyone please make some suggestions? The only thing I've seen is a setup by ANSA, but for $400. Where should I look? May 26, 201014 yr comment_320776 Not much being built like that these days. See this thread for more info on the old stuff - http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34920I'm looking into trying to have something similar custom built. Not quite there yet. May 26, 201014 yr Author comment_320777 Do you know who would suggest the muffler sizing options? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36002-exhaust-set-up/#findComment-320777 Share on other sites
May 26, 201014 yr comment_320783 If you still have the L24, a good 2¼ system with a big resonator in the middle and not a glasspack "hotdog" and at the rear an almost straight through muffler should make it sound great; deep throaty roar without the high pitched bark. May 26, 201014 yr comment_320784 That's my plan - a 2 1/4" system, resonator in the center, and probably a Magnaflow at the rear. Looking at using a Magnaflow 11148, that's a small single inlet, dual outlet muffler that might lend itself nicely to the dual stacked tips, if I can find tips that fit the way I want. May 28, 201014 yr comment_320973 I think what he is trying to say is who has a NOS Original ANSA Twin Stack they would be willing to sale. He needs one for his show car or so it seems when we spoke on the phone, as I won't be able to make any more for a bit longer than I originally thought.
