June 8, 201014 yr comment_321918 That is a clean looking car. What's wrong with your wheels? In my opinion, they look PERFECT. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36115-hi-z-friends/#findComment-321918 Share on other sites
June 8, 201014 yr comment_321919 Look into Eibach Progressive rate lowering springs and Tokico HP struts. Great ride, lower height, helps the tires fill the wheel well better. What size tires and wheels do you have right now? Spring clamps are pointless on a Z car. You can run a 225/50R16 without any rubbing and they fill the well beautifully. June 8, 201014 yr comment_321952 I think both the wheels and the colour look superb, but I can see how you'd want to take it back to 'original'. As for lowering, Zs-ondabrain is right about using Eibach springs and Tokico sruts. I recall hearing somewhere that the Tokico springs are rubbish. That particular combo is a fair bit dearer than spring clamps but it's a proper bit of kit. On second thought, Zs-ondabrain: The Eibach springs are progressive, didn't someone on this forum complain about them making the car unstable at speed? I might have confused the Eibach ones with another make, in which case I'm sorry for the mistake! June 12, 201014 yr comment_322390 If the bar you are referring to is the one in the attached picture, it's called a bumper guard (I just did a little research and some call them overrider bars but Amco, the manufacturer, calls them bumper guards) and they come up on ebay every once in awhile. Your 260 is beautiful. June 13, 201014 yr comment_322470 Your z looks great. Nice and clean I know this is a LOT of reading, but as far as lowering/suspension on your z goes... FAQ from Hybridz (scroll to "Brakes, wheels, suspension" section) And here (on struts) is the longest thread I've ever printed. Good Luck!! June 13, 201014 yr comment_322475 AFAIK the bumper overrider bars were simply a dealer add-on.Not my cup of tea, I feel it makes the car look too busy. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36115-hi-z-friends/#findComment-322475 Share on other sites
