Posted November 14, 200222 yr comment_19032 Go figure as soon as it starts to approach winter and get cold, my 240 decides I don't need heat. I've had no problems with the heat since I've had the car up until now. Suddenly the other day, I have no heat. The car is warming up normally, coolant is good, tubes all look good, fuses look good, even the hot water supply tube is hot. NO HEAT.Any ideas? What should I check next? November 14, 200222 yr comment_19035 First thing I would do is to look under the dash to the left of the blower motor on the passenger side. There the valve controlling the heat resides. Make sure the valve lever moves as you move the control. Sometimes the wire inside the control cable will loosen in its captive holder located in front of the valve or in the locking screw barrel at the valve. If these instructions aren't clear ask again Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/3619-brrrrr-its-cold-ie-no-heat/#findComment-19035 Share on other sites
November 15, 200222 yr comment_19091 Bill is correct. The heater control valve is first check point. Also make sure the vent/heat flap is closing. If the heat is not getting hot, but is luke warm your thermostat is probably stuck open. This was the problem - re-insert wire and tighten screw = heat again. THANK YOU!!!
