Posted June 23, 201014 yr comment_323470 Was doing some work on my car last night - Changed rear brakes + installed a new Steering Wheel. All was fine but now: My little light in the engine bay is stuck on! Yes it worked before and I could click it on and off. But now its just stuck on? Only way for me to turn it off is to unscrew the light. Any ideas? All comments are welcome. June 24, 201014 yr comment_323484 Take the light off, and spray the switch area while turning it on and off. More than likely, some metallic debris is shorting the switch contacts. The other possibility is that the switch is broken.New ones are available for under $40 if you can't fix it. June 24, 201014 yr comment_323515 In the short term you could put the bulb back in and follow the red wire about six inches away from the lamp and unplug the connector. At least in the dark of night you would be able plug that in vs. having to install the lamp.John Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36278-electrical-engine-bay-maintenance-light/#findComment-323515 Share on other sites
