Posted July 1, 201014 yr comment_324185 I had my door panels re-covered with a foam backing. Problem is the window crank now drags on the new material. Eventually the window crank will scratch the material. Is there a window crank that will fit and provide some clearence between the crank and the panel?ThanksMiles Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36348-window-crank-swap-72-240z/ Share on other sites
July 1, 201014 yr comment_324195 I don't know about a window crank with a longer shaft, but if just the center hub is dragging, make sure the plastic washer is still there. July 1, 201014 yr comment_324224 I had that issue with a different car. We used that "Protective Plastic" that you peel and stick to the front part of a hood and front area. It's clear, adhesive backed and when cut in the 6" or so diameter and stuck to the door panel, it don't look half bad. And it protects the vinyl.Just a thought.Dave Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36348-window-crank-swap-72-240z/#findComment-324224 Share on other sites
