Posted July 9, 201014 yr comment_324778 Hey Guys,I dropped the crossmember on my 1970 Z and on one of the motor mounts, there was a metal plate between the engine mounting bracket and the engine mount itself. Only problem is; I don't remember which side it came from! I think it was on the left side, just not sure. Please help.Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36417-engine-mount-plate/ Share on other sites

July 20, 201014 yr Author comment_325959 After looking through the past threads, it seemed that the spacer was from the passenger side. Not! When I reassembled the front suspension, I found that the sway bar contacted the large bracket for the air pump and A/C compressor. Aha! In my case the spacer was from the left side. It tilts the engine enough to clear the sway bar by about 1/4". PITA to go back and switch it.
