Posted July 12, 201014 yr comment_325067 could someone describe or direct to a site that explains how to clean fuel injectors. my '76 280z had been sitting for some time and i am sure the injectors are leaking and or clogged somewhat. cleaning the inj. may be complicated but before i purchase new ones i would like to give it a shot.thanks Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36455-76-280z-how-to-clean-injectors/ Share on other sites
July 12, 201014 yr comment_325078 The process described in this post is how I do it. However, if you don't have a cannister cleaner and an air compressor, purchasing the equipment would be more expensive than purchasing new injectors. There's other useful info in that thread which can be accessed by clicking on the link in the upper right hand corner. It's pretty much on point with the exception of a couple of 'Ohio' sidetracks. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showpost.php?p=256648&postcount=16 Edited July 12, 201014 yr by sblake01 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36455-76-280z-how-to-clean-injectors/#findComment-325078 Share on other sites

July 12, 201014 yr comment_325125 I thought I would jump in. I bought this set off of Ebay a couple years ago for $144.00 shipped. I was very happy with them. They are stock units, cleaned, tested and then matched up in a set from the data with a difference of no more than 1% (or so they claim on the website). I was really impressed with them, came with everything needed, although the connectors were like the stock ones, I would have liked it if they had come with the quick release BMW/Volvo style. Other than that, very complete and very high quality. The sellers name is osidetiger on Ebay, you could contact him on there and see if he has any. For the price of cleaning them, you could buy this kit.
