Expansion Valve Availabity 1978 280Z

Hi My need for an expansion valve was confirmed by my mechanic but I'm having a hard time finding one. Both Auto Zone and Advance say they are no longer available. Does anyone know a source of one or what I can do to repair my AC problem?
