conedodger Posted July 19, 2010 Share #2 Posted July 19, 2010 That is a beautiful picture... There is a guy in England going after a Porsche 914 that is in at least that bad shape.
psdenno Posted July 19, 2010 Share #3 Posted July 19, 2010 Nice project car. A little time, a little money, .... a little mental health counseling. Fender flares and a rear spoiler would cover a multitude of sins. Dennis
Zs-ondabrain Posted July 19, 2010 Share #4 Posted July 19, 2010 I see plenty of good or salvagable parts in the 1 picture alone.
Pomorza Posted July 19, 2010 Share #5 Posted July 19, 2010 With enough time and money any car can be restored. That ones is in rather bad shape but with a some new sheet metal and some TLC that Z could be on the road.

zKars Posted July 19, 2010 Share #8 Posted July 19, 2010 I see no Z there. Only fossilized remains... Sad indeed that what it was is lost, but it is now only a form that invokes strong memories and feelings that compell us to wish it back into being. Only a few of us have time, will and resources to attempt such a resurrection.
Bruce Palmer Posted July 19, 2010 Share #9 Posted July 19, 2010 Pull that drip rail stainless, drive a new car under it and reattach.
conedodger Posted July 19, 2010 Share #10 Posted July 19, 2010 A 914? Is there a shortage of them in the UK?I wouldn't know. I'm not in England. But the value of a 914 such as mine is now triple what it cost to buy new in the '70's so that will drive what people are willing to take on. impulsive Posted July 20, 2010 Share #11 Posted July 20, 2010 Maybe its my lack of money. But this is a Z that should stay in the field you found it. Grab what you can tho!
Walter Moore Posted July 20, 2010 Share #12 Posted July 20, 2010 "Rust never sleeps..." Neil Young.Never really liked his music, but a truly great observation. It certainly applies to the ruined remains in the photograph.
