I am in the process of working on the front end of my 77z. I got everything taken off of the front of the car except for the passenger side bumper absorber.
After getting all the pieces off it looks like both frame extensions are angled about 10-15 degrees to the driver's side. Anyone have tips for straightening this back out? I was thinking maybe getting a come-along and pulling the two pieces together to get them back centered but not sure. May end up just hammering it back into shape.
Anyone with a MSA bumper want to chime in on how important these piecse are as I am switching to that and might just cut some of it off.
First picture is of the bumper support showing the angle that both frame sections are bent to.
