This website (thecarcover.com) carries the Technalon Car Covers for WAY less than The Z Store... sounds TOO good to be true.

Has anyone ordered from them?

The pricing looks good, but the proof is in the actual cover.

Years ago I bought a Noah from CoverCraft, for about $200 through an Auto Parts house. It worked well, although I wouldn't claim that it was totally waterproof or worse yet, cat proof. (I don't think there is a cat-proof cover.) Finally after a few years it wore out... simply frayed away.

The one in your link may be the same or better, but I haven't any direct experience.

Indoor for $20+..........if you try it post a picture and verify the fit. For a garage kept car that really does not see the weather,..... or cats - this could be the perfect dust cover.

I've had two of them, and the fit was good on both. Their most basic cloth, as well as their top of the line Technalon cover.

Try searching for Technalon, there are sure to be a few threads.

I bought a new cover in June and have been very pleased with it. My car sits in my driveway currently due to the huge parts inventory occupying my garage now.

As eBay only keeps closed auctions for 90 days it won't be long until the above information is useless so here is some additional information that will help people in the future find what I bought.

This is WAY better than my last cover which really was a glorified dust cover really meant for indoor use only. This one on the other hand is quite nice! My favorite feature and the one that was difficult to find in an affordable cover was the buckle straps to secure it and keep it on the car in those windy rain storms.

I hope that this helps others in their car cover quest.

Right, I forgot to mention the fit of the cover. Well as you said a picture speaks a thousand words so here are two thousand words worth.

Where it pulls up under in the front and rear is where the two buckle straps are located and I have them buckled. The grommet could be used for the included rope or a cable lock (optional additional purchase)...I'm not using either.

I ordered from thecarcover.com. I have not rec'd my cover yet (but it's not late yet either).

I have done some more digging (that I SHOULD have done BEFORE ordering and while there website has pages describing the covercraft covers and the Technalon covers I think that might be a scam of sorts. They are providing an INFO page but they are not saying directly that they sell these covers... I will know when I get mine I guess...

So after deciding that the cover they were selling was NOT going to be the same one as the "good" ones sold elsewhere I canceled my order. I based this on reading online complaints against the seller that said the covers were junk, didn't fit or never arrived.

I had paid with paypal. I filed a complaint w/PP when I couldn't get in touch with the company via email or phone. When I did eventually get them on the phone they were willing to cancel the order and refund the $ (they saw the unanswered emails and the paypal complaint but had not responded to any of them until I was speaking with them on the phone.)

My recommendation: stay away from this company... and always do some research before buying from an unknown source like this. I've learned MY lesson.
