From the very cool site bringatrailer.com : "This 1970 Datsun is the Z432 model which rises above the other early Z’s thanks to the factory installed S20 Skyline 6-cylinder engine. The 430-ish built came with magnesium wheels, 5-speed transmissions, and one of the sweetest engine notes you will ever find. See this one here at Bingo Sports in Japan for 8,800,000 Yen or about $101k at today’s rate. Special thanks to BaT reader Gerrard N. for this submission!"

I do not know if you realize this, but there are bunch of special effect to these pictures. I looked at this car in person already, and it is is tough shape.

Yes, it appears super clean, but it is actually not. :)

Reading the comments from the clueless muscle car crowd is the most entertaining part of the BaT post http://bringatrailer.com/2010/07/27/factory-two-cammer-1970-datsun-fairlady-z432/.

This one is my favorite so far: "I didn’t know the 6-cyl. was an option on Fairladys (or is it Fairladies…)". Then after someone points out all S30s had 6 cylinders he says "Typing w/out enough caffeine early this a.m. meant twin cam. I think i was blinded by the Webers…" :stupid:

There are a total of 5 different steering wheels listed in the 1970 Fairlady Z parts catalog. For the PS30, 48400-E4200 is shown as being used previous to chassis number PS30-00401 and 48400-E8205 is shown as being used from PS30-00401. There was also the optional steering wheel, 48400-E4110 available. Other than this information, it doesn't say what the differences were from the early standard wheel for the PS30 and the later 1970 PS30 wheel. The illustrations in the catalog are not numbered for identification purposes either.

I was just left wondering what steering wheel should be in this car.

What does the second knob next to the choke knob do? I have a second knob that I found in a box that is different than the choke knob but it is broken. I thought maybe it was supposed to switch those orange air filter housings from fresh air to engine compartment air. I guess not since this Z does not have a 240z air filter housing.

Hand throttle.
