Posted August 4, 201014 yr comment_327187 I have seen some nice cars on Craigs list but they are ruined by this striping. I would never consider a car looking like this. Just my own opinion. If you have a car to sell, get rid of the stripe and you might have better luck. Here is an example.http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/ctd/1880702206.html Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36683-why-do-people-paint-a-white-stripe-down-the-hood/ Share on other sites

August 4, 201014 yr comment_327190 I don't hate the skunk stripes. I don't think they work well on the Z, but I i like 'em on some other cars. Blue with white stripes on a 69 SS Camaro, nice! August 4, 201014 yr comment_327216 Anyone know what seats those are? They look a lot like my Recarro's. Looks like they have been re-upholstered though. August 4, 201014 yr comment_327221 Okay, have to agree. Without a companion small stripe on either side of the big stripe it looks like some ding walked the length of the car with a paint roller. And close it off at the leading edge of the hood with some finish detail. August 4, 201014 yr comment_327228 Agreed. But that car looks to be in really good shape, despite the stripe. If I had a Jones for the car, I'd factor in the cost of the repaint. August 5, 201014 yr comment_327235 It appears to be a color change, too. Note the photo of the cargo area... shows gold beneath the mat....Hate the stripe. August 5, 201014 yr comment_327241 All the ricers know the stripe is good for at least 5-10 HP over no stripe. Same goes for stickers and decals of speed equipment that is not in the car. August 5, 201014 yr comment_327264 Like anything else, some stripes work, some don't. I agree it needs the thin side stripes.
