Weirs stuff #1

I got an email notification saying "you have a Private Message", I read the message and erased it from my yahoo account. Then I come here (CZCC), go to my PM's and it's not even there. Weird.

I see 20 posts on a Thread, go to the thread, read 19 posts and the 20th doesn't exist. I click on "Page #3) and it kicks me back to page 2 cause page 3 doesn't exit, cause there is only 19 posts in total.

3 PM's that I had already read, reapeared as NEW in bold print.

Yes....My "Total Restoration " thread just lost the last 3 pics and last 4 posts last night.

When I try to go to the last post on some, but not all threads I get this message:

No Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator

ya thats the main thing ive noticed. lots of posts arent visible. but someone is working on the site so that is the explanation of all of these missing posts!

Yep, I was really confused about Guy's missing posts and the No Thread Specified error. It all makes sense now.

AARGH! Out of curiosity, I just checked to see if My Garage was still intact since I just added my racecar info and photos a few days ago and it's empty. Someone broke into my virtual garage and stole my virtual car! Does anyone know if the missing posts are gone forever, or will they reappear?

ya at first i was thinking to myself (im positive ive posted on this thread yesterday, and someone responded.. but its not here) then i realized the total posts on the threat were way higher then the amount shown

I think Mike needs to go through ITIL training with an emphasis on Change Management;) (Only corporate geeks will get this)

First thing I noticed that was funny was both here and on the datsunclassifieds site. Some user who had never made a real post before, was selling a Z alleged to be redone by a "Nissan factory restoration shop," with something like 4.2 BILLION posts under his post count. The user's info looked really fishy, so I pm'd Mike about it, then other things started to go awry, maybe fixing this small glitch caused a landslide of other problems?

So Mike, it the info lost forever? If so, I need to redo my garage. If it can be recovered, I won't take the time to redo everything.

Haha, you guys crack me up. I know I should give more warning as to when we are going to be performing maintenance. It's even more important to do so when we have so many users. Most of the maintenance comes when I have some free time and that can be hit-miss at times.. So, I apologize if it's been crazy lately.

I wasn't aware some of your posts were lost. That should NOT happen with the back-end stuff I've been working on... Most of the back-end work will usually slow down the site, but, your posts should be fine. I've been running back-up jobs to an off site location and it will always slow the system.

Yesterday I added a patch to the system to hopefully keep the spambots to a minimum. And, I'm sure there were some holes in the system allowing some of the bogus accounts to show up with Billions of messages (thanks Arne & Inf).

Guys, please try to post your garages and your posts again. And, if you could, get back to me if you are still seeing problems.

I'm getting this when I try to mark all posts read.

"Your submission could not be processed because a security token was invalid.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error"

As long as the boobs thread is not affected I'm fine with others having issues.
