Ok on my 72 the headlight switch on steering column is bad and parts store doesnt have it. Is it an item I can get at Nissan or is it a find a used one item?

Try a WTB ad in the classifieds. There are also folks on here that can fix and restore them.

I have a bunch but I think they are mostly 280Z switches. Try contacting Zonthebrain or something like that. He rebuilds them.
