Posted August 23, 201014 yr comment_328752 I am currently refurbishing my 75 280z. Have recently replaced all bushings with poly and installed new struts and springs. I am trying to decide on new wheels and tires. The car will be driven primarily on the street (no racing) and I live in Colorado. Have heard that increasing to 15" or 16" wheels is a consideration. Thoughts??Thanks Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36868-wheels-and-tires/ Share on other sites
August 23, 201014 yr comment_328758 I am switching to 16" wheels. It gives them a sporty look without being too low profile. I ordered Rota RB 16x7 with a +4 offset. They are knockoffs of Panasports but half the price. The silver ones are tougher to find. I have had to wait a couple of months for the seller to get them in stock. I used 18racing.com. They called me to let me know about the wait and have been good to deal with. Everyone has their own opinions but look at the pictures in the garages section above to get some good ideas. Good luck.carl Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36868-wheels-and-tires/#findComment-328758 Share on other sites
August 23, 201014 yr comment_328771 What Carl said. I went with 15" and wish I'd gone to 16". The 16" wheels still don't look too big (modern), but performance tires are readily available. Harder to find performance tires for 15" rims. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36868-wheels-and-tires/#findComment-328771 Share on other sites
August 23, 201014 yr comment_328791 Ditto what Julio and Carl said. 16s are the way to go if you don't mind getting away from the stock wheel size. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36868-wheels-and-tires/#findComment-328791 Share on other sites
August 24, 201014 yr comment_328848 I will be getting Rota RB's at some point as well. Do any of you guys know if 16 x 8's can be put on the rear without interference issues?
