You guys are a wealth of knowledge! Thanks! I know so much about camaros, but hardly anything about this car.

I am using an after market temp gauge. Graduated, but a cheapie that was on there when I bought it. I am certain it is fairly accurate, however. Yes, I agree it's running too hot. At one point while driving 80, The cap on the radiator let off some serious water all over the hood because of pressure. I think that means it's time for a coolant flush. I might consider throwing a new water pump on there as well. What do you guys think? How can I get this thing a little more cooler? Going 75 I was hitting 230, and I really don't like that.

To get it cooler. Start with the basics. Get a thermostat and do a nice flush of the system. See how that affects your issue. Make sure that your fan clutch engages when it needs to.

If your going to do the waterpump may a suggest you do the bolts too. The bolts they use have a tendency of snapping if reused (first hand knowledge here) so replacing them with the pump is a good call.

Good advice. I'll do both right away. After that I'll do the water pump if necessary. Yes, good call on the bolts. I believe most water pumps I saw offered online came with the bolts.

Man...it's been forever guys and I'm still around here and there on this forum, but I figured I might as well post what the problem was. The t-stat was removed (and since re-added). The problem is a clogged radiator! Still haven't gotten around to it (a flush did wonders), but it needs to be cored really bad. I'm just holding off until the LS1 swap. Thanks guys!

P.S. I completed a 5 speed swap on the 260z a couple months ago. It's......AMAZING! I highly suggest it.
