Posted August 26, 201014 yr comment_329062 As you can see, the picture is of two families in one. My daughter and I thought this picture would be cool in front of her sorority. Sarah still loves her car and all the attention it gives her. All her guy friends at school are jealous and always looking for a ride:cool:. Don't know if dad could have done a better job finding her a car that she likes so much, and I love driving it too-when she lets me:) Now that my car is looking good, she's wanting to know when her's get's to look that pretty. I guess I know what my next BIG project will be. Maybe the next Zcon we will both be there. Heck, she might have won the daily driver with her car! August 27, 201014 yr comment_329122 Nice picture.I used to live across the street from the local chapter of her sorority - it led to many days of frustration when trying to sleep in before and during rush week. I still have all their rush songs seared into my memory! August 27, 201014 yr comment_329159 Good looking family. Be proud that your daughter sees the value in owning a classic car. So many kids today think they "deserve" a new car. August 27, 201014 yr Author comment_329171 Sarah has been really good about dealing with the quirks of an older car---like waiting on parts, but she understands it's part of owning a classic. The only problem is the winter, then it's not a practical car, but we trade off for my suby impreza since i only drive a mile to work.I had promised her before she started college that i would buy her a new car if she managed a scholarship, and guess what-she got a full ride courtesy of the USAF. So I told her that I owe her a new car, but she would rather have her Z look pretty again. So then my wife and I decided that we would give her our Suby Forester when my wife gets a new car next year, and all she wondered was what was going to happen to the Z. I said-relax, the Z will always be yours and in our family. August 27, 201014 yr comment_329184 Yes, there is a difference between believing that you are deserving a car and EARNING a car. Please pass on the congratulations for attending such a fine institution. August 27, 201014 yr comment_329189 Nice pic indeed.Alot of people that age seem to appreciate the Datsuns. I'm always getting the thumbs up and complements from the teens in the neighborhood when I drive one of mine.....even the ol ugly primer grey 280. Interestingly, they pretty much ignored my 350Z when I had it. August 27, 201014 yr comment_329205 ya because the 350z isnt anything new to them. they see a old school race car that isnt a corvette or mustang or comero or anything like that they are like (wow thats new and looks sweet i want one)when i drive my Z around i always get thumbs up or compliments and its ugly as hell and has one tire bigger then the rest. i even had a guy in a BMW Z4 look at me and give me a thumbs up saying that thing is sweet. he was in his late 20's Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36895-family-picture/#findComment-329205 Share on other sites
