I'm not sure if you can find an ignition relay for a 79. I constructed a replacement for a 79 ignition relay for a friend who was working on a customer's car.

Need help with both, and no never found the the short nor did the fuse blow.

Fusible links are pieces of wire and glass fuses are those old school fuses made of glass
