Posted November 21, 200222 yr comment_19462 I am currently running a set of Hitachi Round Tops on a L26 with extractors, sports filter and mid range camshaft and have heard lots of arguments over the needle types from grinding to replacing. My question is how do you tell what type of needles are in the current carbys and secondly I have heard that the N54 needle is the best for increased richness/Horsepower given that I am fanging the hell out of the car around a track most times.:sleepy: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/3693-needle-types/ Share on other sites
November 21, 200222 yr comment_19518 There should an identifying mark at the base of the needle. It'll be pretty small and you'll probably have to pull it out of the carb piston to see it. November 22, 200222 yr comment_19552 I don't mind at all. In fact I've made over 20 different plates so far. I have one lined up for my car when the current plates come due, but I won't show it because I don't want someone to steal it. :tapemouth Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/3693-needle-types/#findComment-19552 Share on other sites
