Posted August 29, 201014 yr comment_329436 I'm going back to the early transmission style and as I was prepping it in anticipation of getting my engine re-installed (throw out bearing, collar, lever and assorted springs) I noticed that the later dust boot is way too large to re-use. My question is , are there any other differences I need to be aware of, like flywheel bushing sizes or anything else that might make me crazy that I can deal with now while its on the bench. Thanks All,H Houghton Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36930-early-transmission-question/ Share on other sites
August 29, 201014 yr comment_329438 I can't think of much else different, Hugh. The pilot bushings are all the same. As I'm sure you are aware, the release bearing collar has to match the pressure plate, and the clutch fork and slave cylinder will also need to match. But the rest should be all the same. August 29, 201014 yr Author comment_329441 Arne, I'm using all the pieces that came out of the old trans as they are almost new so they all should match fine, hopefully it won't give me any grief on assembley. Any advice, pointers etc gladly recieved.Best,H Houghton Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36930-early-transmission-question/#findComment-329441 Share on other sites
