September 1, 201014 yr comment_329681 You say the engine "wants" to turn over. Does it turn over? If it does, why did you replace the battery? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36955-car-wont-start/#findComment-329681 Share on other sites
September 2, 201014 yr comment_329800 What steps have you taken to isolate whether it's a fuel or ignition problem? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36955-car-wont-start/#findComment-329800 Share on other sites
September 2, 201014 yr comment_329802 Fuel, air & spark. If the engine is turning over, one of the three is missing. For an engine that didn't have a pre-existing problem when it was parked 60 days ago, my first guess would be fuel. September 6, 201014 yr comment_330063 My sons car clicks sometimes when trying to start it. I've had to bump it a few times, for the solenoid to kick over on the starter. Does it click? September 6, 201014 yr comment_330064 I don't know anybody else here but with the guys I came up with, turning over means the starter is turning the engine rotating assembly. If the crank ain't turning then it isn't "turning over" Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36955-car-wont-start/#findComment-330064 Share on other sites

October 20, 201014 yr comment_333877 It's all about , need I say, THE ground. Simple to do, and easy to learn. New battery cables and clean conductive surfaces make for a very happy early Zed. So you have DC, ok now check for spark at the spark plugs, if ok then check fuel (is you're tank full? do you have fuel at the cabs ect) than compression, this you would check last. :paranoid::stupid: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/36955-car-wont-start/#findComment-333879 Share on other sites
