Went to check up on my for sale ad and my car shows SOLD which it's not???? Lots of others with the same issue it looks like. Just thought I'd let you know about it.

My ad says SOLD! too but it isn't. But then it really isn't very for sale either .

Also could an admin fix the unsubscribe feature of the classifieds? I really didn't want to be subscribed but it happened. When I try to unsubscribe I get an error page.

I also have a set of wheels on there erroneously marked as SOLD.... I wish they were sold!

Guys, is this in the new www.datsunclassifieds.com site, or the old calssiczcars.com/classifieds?

Looks like the new one, Arne. I just looked at the first two pages of 'Early Z Cars For Sale' and saw both Mike's and Jared's cars marked "SOLD".

Ok. I'm pretty sure Mike is on the road, and working in support of K-12 as I do, this being the first week of school in these parts, I'm buried. We'll look into it, but please be patient, people.

I'm not getting any bites on mine so I guess I'll be keeping mine too. It's going to suck if I have to pay for the monthly storage garage fee all through out the winter again. Hate to sell my Z but with the way the economy is the extra expense with the storage is killing me.

Basically there were no buyers. I only listed it here and at zcar.com. I'm really leery of listing it on craigslist. I had a guy drive almost 300 miles to look at the car. I expected him to buy it because he pulled a trailer down and he knew everything about the car before coming. I don't think he really had any intentions of buying it at all. He did take a lot of photos of it for whatever reason.

Plan B is to sell the L24 parts and the carbs and buy an L28et. That isn't going well either No interest in the parts either. so far.

It really seems like a great time to be a buyer...not so great to be a seller.

Guess I'm not the only one then :laugh: Yeah, I'm not wasting my time with craigs list either. I've heard too many horror stories about it. My luck I'd get some nut job come to look at it and pull a gun on me.

I sometimes wonder where the heck this world is going to but thats a different topic

The market must have been better last year when I sold my cars (and truck). All three went in less than a months' time.

Jared, that's pretty much why I didn't want to run a CL ad. The fear factor not so much of a worry but the time wasting of no-shows and people out for joyrides definitely. I put mine on CL after all. But the carbs have been removed to sell separately so nobody is going on any joyrides in the car . Unfortunately the "sellability" and the price also take a nosedive. If nobody buys it I'll just do the turbo swap when I can afford it. I didn't really want this to turn into a project and at this point I'd just like the car gone so I can go back to the car I know best...but I can't just give the car away. Its just too sweet looking of a car that's about as rust free as an unrestored 240 gets.

Hi guys, I am sorry but I have no idea why they were marked SOLD. I looked at the database and our nightly scheduled job and this shouldn't have happened. The only thing I can think of is I went through and re-created the index photos and it probably happened then. It doesn't seem like this is still happening, so, it was a one-off thing.

You should have the ability to edit your ads and mark them as not sold. This shouldn't happen again... if it does, please immediately let let me know. Thanks!!
