Brake recommendations, please!

Other than weight savings, is there any other advantage?

Also, Rxsleeper suggested that we ventilate the rear drum backing plates. Where's the best place to get air to do that? The front is easy... just steal air through the headlights and fog lamp openings. Is there a tried and true way to get air to the rear drums, or should we just experiment?

In addition to being lighter the aluminum drums should cool quicker.

I drilled 40 or so holes in each backing plate and used a duct at the bottom of the floors to direct air into the backing plate.

I was a Pit Marshall at the Longest Day of Nelsons Ledges in the 90's. I was told that the "Spirit of DC" car that won used Carbotech pads & shoes. SCCA President and driver said they never changed brakes.

I'm friends with Jeff lucas and John Legg(owner) who raced the Spirit of DC 240Z and I'm pretty sure that they replaced the brake pads. They would have been using Hawk or Carbotech. We are using Carbotech now.
