SCCA President and driver said they never changed brakes. March 8, 201312 yr comment_417178 Other than weight savings, is there any other advantage? Also, Rxsleeper suggested that we ventilate the rear drum backing plates. Where's the best place to get air to do that? The front is easy... just steal air through the headlights and fog lamp openings. Is there a tried and true way to get air to the rear drums, or should we just experiment? In addition to being lighter the aluminum drums should cool quicker.I drilled 40 or so holes in each backing plate and used a duct at the bottom of the floors to direct air into the backing plate.Chuck Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37048-brake-recommendations-please/?&page=2#findComment-417178 Share on other sites

They would have been using Hawk or Carbotech. We are using Carbotech now.Chuck Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37048-brake-recommendations-please/?&page=2#findComment-417180 Share on other sites
