2010 National Runoffs

I was just looking through the EProduction entry list for this year's Runoffs. There appears to be thirty entries in that class with only three Z's and out of that whole group only two from west of Kansas. Up jumped the economy I'm guessing.....

I only spotted one roadster and one 510 in the other production classes, maybe a 510 in GTL.

Good luck everyone. That's not a very big Datsun banner........

I'm eagerly awaiting seeing Steve Epperly and Greg Ira in the same race. Greg is obviously fast, I hear Steve is really fast as well. It will be fun to see how they stack up against each other.

The 510 is just too brick shaped to compete anymore I think. A lot of the "Sentras" and other small Nissan cars out there are still using L4 engines, but I think the penalty for that boxy shape is just too high for the 510 to be in the hunt for a national championship.

Just got off the phone with Pam. Steve's lack of times was due to the transponder not working. He got in a full session on the track though which is imperative on a new track. It's supposed to warm up into the 80s tomorrow which should allow everyone to get dialed in with less iffy conditions.

They have one session tomorrow, one on Wednesday and the race on Friday. Signing autographs and kissing babies on Thursday maybe?
